Walking, cycling, fishing, golf and paddleboarding can all be enjoyed from the tranquil surroundings of Migdale Pods, luxury glamping accommodation in the Scottish village of Bonar Bridge. The sturdy timber pods provide cosy accommodation whatever the weather outside, with home comforts including a bathroom with shower, fitted kitchen, smart TV and wifi, plus unbroken views of uplifting Highland countryside.
The three Migdale Pods are sited on a family croft, roughly 10 miles from the NC500 coastal road touring route. Two catering for two adults or families of up to four and the third for two adults or a family of up to six. The pods opened for business in 2022 and have drawn excellent feedback from guests delighted with the peaceful surroundings, including the cattle grazing nearby and an assortment of visiting wildlife.
The pods are at the end of a gravel road so there is no traffic noise to disturb the birdsong. Night skies are spectacular in this Dark Sky location, where the aurora borealis can sometimes be seen. The Shed is a glampsite facility where guests can do laundry, borrow children’s and adult books and games and use a barbecue.
The nearby village and surrounding areas provide excellent facilities including a chemist, two grocery shops and The Hub with its gym, children’s soft play, cafe and second-hand outlet. Nearby Loch Migdale is great for paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing. Bike and paddleboard hire are available locally.
