The site is part of the Slate Landscape of North West Wales UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with Penrhyn Quarry, once the largest quarry in the world and now home to the world’s fastest zip wire experience.
Owners Wadge and Caroline Grzelak bought the cottage ‘in a dreadful state’ in 2002, but have since transformed it into a bright, airy, three-bedroomed and three-bathroomed holiday retreat. The scenic spot is just one mile from the local beach, Pontllyfni, near the Llyfni river and surrounded by walking and cycle routes. People touring by car benefit from an EV charger on-site.
It is furnished and equipped in comfortable, contemporary style and comes with a cheerful kitchen/diner, a suntrap conservatory/living room and a large garden which overlooks the countryside and attracts much wildlife, as well as frequently offering views of grazing sheep and cows.
