Holidays come with a built-in social life at the friendly Fleur de Lis hotel. Based in Sandwich, a charming medieval town on the Kent coast, it’s a family friendly venue with a bar and restaurant, 11 cheerful guest bedrooms and a community buzz which makes visitors feel wanted and welcome.
The Fleur de Lis has been providing hospitality since at least as far back as 1642 and is popular with the locals for its amiable atmosphere, well-kept ales and tasty home-cooked food at modest prices. Lunch is served every day from 11 to 4pm, including traditional roast dinners on Sundays. Breakfast is available but not included in the price, leaving people free to choose where and when to eat. A festive Christmas menu is available now.
Live entertainment is provided free on Fridays and Saturdays while quiz nights are another regular feature and there are often extra events.
The rooms range from twin to family rooms, including newly refurbished deluxe rooms, one with a four poster. They all have en-suite facilities, Freeview TV, fast broadband and drink making stations. If you’re combining your holiday with a special celebration, there are also two great function rooms on the premises, with catering available.
Owner/landlord Richard Harris has refurbished the premises since taking over in March 2018 and says: “The Fleur de Lis is much loved by our regulars and visitors alike.”
