Owners Luci Hawkins and Charlie Grinnall live the dream their customers aspire to, spending their spare time in the great adventure playground that nature has provided. Whether they’re scaling rockfaces, hill walking or driving through rocky terrain they’re always having fun. While testing their skills, they are also getting to grips with the extensive range of equipment they sell, from boots to tents, compasses to climbing ropes.
“That’s how it started,” says Luci. “We often couldn’t find what we needed, so we had the idea to set up the ‘go to’ shop for all the accessories.
“Most of the outdoor shops just have rows and rows of clothing, but while we do stock clothes, we have concentrated more on the accessories. As we have built our customer base, we have expanded into what they like as well.
“We will always try to source whatever someone needs, but we also try out as much of the stock as we possibly can. When people ask us how something performs, we can tell them from first hand experience, or recommend something better for their needs.”
