Craigatin House in Pitlochry, Perthshire has won so many awards for its boutique bed & breakfast provision that it would take this whole page to list them. Originally the home of a doctor, Craigatin House itself has been transformed to provide seven guest bedrooms decorated with feature wallpapers and furnished with impeccable taste, together with another seven in the adjoining courtyard building, one being a suite with bedroom, shower room and lounge. All the other rooms are doubles, large doubles or twin with en-suite facilities, generous hospitality trays and TV. Many have mountain views.
One striking feature is the contemporary conservatory which has been added, where guests take their choice of superb Scottish breakfasts from an extensive menu. The food has garnered a Taste Our Best award from Visit Scotland, and the view overlooks those lovely gardens with their resident red squirrels, pheasants and red legged partridge.
