Rugby Rotarians have joined forces to host the town’s annual Spring Fair with the focus on family and fundraising.
Members of The Rotary Club of Dunsmore, Rotary Club of Rugby and Rotary Club of Rugby Saturday Breakfast are working in partnership with Rugby Round Table, 41 Club and Rugby Heritage Lions, for the popular event, which has now been running for more than 40 years.
The fun-packed day, on May 4th, promises a full programme of activities including a Kids Zone with bouncy castle, face painting, flight simulator, Wolly The Clown and a supervised creepy crawlies handling area. Various musicians will perform on the stage including Rugby Ukrainian Singers and Bilton Silver Band will be on the bandstand.
Other attractions, at Whitehall Recreation Ground, include around 60 stalls, a fun dog show and classic car displays as well as various food and drinks outlets to keep everyone refreshed.
Simon Maguire, the event Project Manager, said: “Following on from the success of last year’s Fair, the team look forward to welcoming over 4,000 people to the Whitehall Recreation Ground on the 4th of May where they will enjoy a great family day out as well as supporting local charities and businesses. Discounted tickets are on sale from our website for the rest of April.”
Early Bird tickets for the annual event, which has raised more than £14k for charitable causes last year are available HERE but are also available to buy on the gate.
Visitors are advised that parking near Whitehall Recreation Ground is limited. To ease congestion, attendees are encouraged to walk, cycle, use public transport, or make use of free parking arranged at: John Barford Car Park, Rugby Town Centre (CV21 2SL) Available from 9am-6pm on the day of the event. Access via James Street and Railway Terrace.
