Aylsham Windmill offers unusual, historic and luxurious self-catering accommodation for up to six people on the outskirts of a quaint Norfolk market town. It’s surprisingly spacious, fully equipped and perfectly placed for exploring the North Norfolk ‘Deep History Coast’ the cathedral city of Norwich and the Norfolk Broads. There are numerous attractive walks and cycle trails nearby, including the Marriott’s Way, a railway Heritage Trail, just a few yards away.
The accommodation is in the circular tower of the windmill, which was used for grinding flour for nearly 100 years from 1826. Now restored to modern standards, although cosy and comfortable, the building still retains its working character. The open plan living area on the first floor has three sofas, dining furniture and fully fitted kitchen. It is centrally heated and generously equipped with everything from Freeview TV to a dishwasher. Second floor twin and double bedrooms share an en-suite shower-room, while the third floor master bedroom has private en-suite facilities. Guests also have a ground floor utility/laundry room, cloakroom plus private patio garden and parking.
Friendly hosts Tim & Janet live alongside and ensure guests have everything needed so they can relax straight away.
