Devon couldn’t look more beautiful than from The North Cliff Hotel in Exmoor National Park, 500 feet above Lynmouth Bay and with sweeping views over the coastline and idyllic Watersmeet Valley. Lynton shops and cinema are just minutes away, accessible through the hotel garden. Lynmouth is just 10 minutes’ walk or a train ride via the world’s highest, steepest water powered funicular Cliff Railway.
Standing on the popular South West Coast Path, The North Cliff Hotel welcomes families, groups and dogs. Freshly refurbished and redecorated throughout, it has 11 sea view en-suite rooms for bed & breakfast, with comfortable beds, TVs and DVD players. Also a unique penthouse suite for self catering, with two en-suite double rooms with king sized beds and TVs, a living area with a large third TV and a fully equipped kitchen/dining area.
Guests are welcome to use a drying room for themselves and their dogs. Hosts Rebecca and Stephen Parker also provide a licensed bar, a sun terrace and a cosy lounge with a coal fire and board games.
Rebecca says: “It’s very peaceful and we want our guests to feel fully relaxed and at home. There are many beautiful walks, the closest being to The Valley of the Rocks, where you might encounter goats. In summer, you may catch a game of local cricket.”
