Holidaymakers can enjoy the both peaceful surroundings and the best of Torquay’s many amenities from the comfort of The Netley, an elegant Victorian hotel just a short stroll from the seafront. This friendly, independent business has every comfort and convenience for its guests, including beautiful en suite bedrooms, a sun-trap terrace and even parking space in a town where such provision is at a premium.
Owners Angie Collins and her husband, Mike, provide a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for their guests in eight individually decorated rooms which include a family room and superior rooms with king sized beds. Breakfast is always delicious, with traditional and vegetarian cooked fare supported by a generously array of cereals, yoghurts and other choices for people to help themselves
Torquay is famous as one of the three towns at the heart of the ‘English Riviera’. The beaches are fantastic and there are numerous pleasant shops, restaurants and bars, all easily accessible to Netley guests via a pleasant walk through the award winning Torre Abbey Gardens. Local bus and train stations are also nearby, making it stress-free to visit attractions such as the Living Coasts Zoo & Aquarium, Paignton Zoo and Kents Cavern.
Angie says: “We have quite a few parties staying from the nearby Cockington wedding venues and the Riviera International Centre, which is a big events venue.”
