For dog friendly holidays at the seaside, East Ruston Cottages can’t be licked! With a choice of 30 Norfolk properties geared to pleasing canine guests and their owners, this specialist agency is simply pawesome.
East Ruston Cottages recently won top spot in national awards by DogFriendly, an online database & magazine pinpointing great holiday accommodation and visitor experiences for dogs and the humans who love them. East Ruston Cottages took the top accommodation prize for the second year running with its pawfect holiday homes both on the coast and inland.
Norfolk is an amazingly dog friendly county and the East Ruston properties all have wonderful walks very close by, taking in exquisite beaches, woodland, rivers, broads and open countryside.
East Ruston Cottages are genuinely pet friendly, not just pet tolerant. There is no breed discrimination and even serial yappers and whiners are welcome. The fact that there are no extra charges for the four legged holidaymakers is not to be sniffed at. Most properties have wood or stone floors for easy cleaning, safe enclosed outdoor areas, toys, bowls, bedding and treats. Some have doggie showers and there are no silly rules about dogs keeping off furniture or staying outside.
The homes can accommodate anything from two to 12 humans in quality comfortable conditions. Agency owner Sue Allen is a multiple dog owner herself and founded the agency to end the frustration of holidays with too many rules and costs for her faithful companions.
Sue has intimate knowledge of the pubs, cafés and picturesque corners of the county and happily helps customers find exactly the right property for their needs.
“From November to February the seals come on to the beaches to give birth and there are all sorts of birds,” she says. “The Broads are fantastic and in North Norfolk you get amazing starling murmurations. It’s relatively flat and we have properties to suit everyone. I get lovely feedback from the guests. People can read our reviews at www.eastrustoncottages.co.uk .”
