Worcestershire’s Number One rated course – Blackwell Golf Club also a top 100 courses in England, it’s classic Fowler Simpson design and great venue for members and visitors alike. If you’re arranging a day out with friends or organising a corporate or society day you can be sure that Blackwell will provide a warm welcome and a tough enough test for all standards, often said each hole is a tough par and easy bogey.
The course is a par 70 and a fair challenge for players of all levels with its rapid greens and superb visual bunkering. Over 130 years it’s been graced by some of the foremost players of the game, such as Hagen, Lyle and the legendary Bobby Jones, who founded the Augusta National.
Club manager Peter Lowery says: “the course has undergone a major remodelling over the past few years and the wow factor has returned”. Free draining soil allows year-round play and we have some memorable holes, including the intimidating 18th with the wonderful clubhouse as the background. Many of our visitors come back again and again, with some even joining! The club boasts a strong ladies’ section too, playing as the Blackwell Ladies Golf Club over the same layout.
The après golf is superb. We have excellent dining facilities with two outstanding chefs and quality beverages including 60 wines from around the world.
Open competitions are held throughout the year and there is a well-stocked professional shop.
