BINGO numbers added up to a successful evening of fundraising for five charities in Coventry and Warwickshire, thanks to local law firm Alsters Kelley.
More than £2,000 proceeds will be divided between The Mary Ann Evans Hospice in Nuneaton, Helping Hands Community Project in Leamington, Safeline in Warwick, Coventry Women’s Haven and Southam Fosse Foodbank.
It was a ‘full house’ for the firm’s second successful bingo event, held at Cubbington Sports and Social Club earlier this month and organised by Legal Secretary Britanie Jeffery.
These charities are among those supported by Alsters Kelley, which was established in the 1980s and now has offices in Coventry, Leamington, Southam, Stratford and Nuneaton.
Britanie Jeffery said: “We had another great evening, lots of laughter – the room was full to capacity, everyone of all ages seems to enjoy a game of bingo. We would like to thank everyone for their support including all the businesses who were very generous with their raffle prize donations.
“My initial fundraising target was £1,000 so to have doubled it was way beyond what we had hoped for.”

Now, more than ever, the support we receive from local people and local companies, like Alsters Kelley, is vital to the continuation of the services we provide to our patients and those close to them. Thank you for helping us to make a difference.”
Also supporting the five charities at the weekend were members of the Alsters Kelley team and their families and friends who took part in a 3.5k walk of the British Camp Circular route in the Malvern Hills. The walk, which has so far raised around £250, was organised by Alsters Kelley Conveyancing assistant Victoria Smith.
The firm has also been supporting the wider Ukrainian efforts by collecting and donating vital supplies, including toiletries and medical supplies.
