Close to beautiful beaches, wild moorland and any number of fabulous Devon and Cornwall attractions, the Bickford Arms offers brilliant holiday accommodation for everybody and their dogs. It’s a friendly country pub, which gives visitors a built-in social life and it also has an acre of forest for those early morning walkies ahead of a tasty full English breakfast.

The Bickford Arms is an independent free house at Brandis Corner, a small hamlet 5 minutes from Holsworthy, just 20 minutes’ drive from the seaside resort of Bude and the stunning South West Coastal Path. It’s also in Ruby Country, the unspoiled rural landscape between Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor.

The premises have 11 comfortable and modern en suite guest bedrooms, all with TV, tea and coffee makers and free Wi-Fi. The pub provides good service in a convivial atmosphere and also serves lunches, evening meals and traditional Sunday carveries. It also has a well equipped function room, making it ideal for people booking group holidays.

Owner Keith Reynolds, who took over in December, says: “This is more than just a place to lay your head. All the rooms are lovely and we have a really good team in the kitchen. We get lots of compliments for our meals. We also serve real ales, five different ciders and many other beverages including a wide selection of gins.
