People with disabilities can enjoy premium self catering holidays with their family, friends or special interest groups at Tudor Lodges, situated between the pretty Cornish harbour town of Looe and Seaton. The award winning accommodation is purpose designed to be fully accessible to all, equipped with state-of-the-art aids and set in two acres of glorious countryside just three miles from the sea.
The seven lodges each sleep six people in three double or twin rooms available all year round. They have spacious, level entry showers, electric profiling beds, hoists, riser chairs and other aids on request. Two lodges are dog friendly, as are several local beaches with disabled access., some by sand wheelchairs for hire.
Friendly hosts Mike and Julie take great care to ensure the premises are COVID secure and safe for vulnerable guests. Cleaning and social distancing protocols are followed meticulously, information is sent in advance and greetings take place outdoors. Lodges are well spaced so no two groups have to mingle.
There is lots for people to do around the area. Julie says: “We are ideally placed for touring the coast, the many National Trust and English Heritage properties and Cornish gardens such as beautiful Trebah, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
“Looe’s Christmas and New Year celebrations are spectacular. People love to come here for those.”
