Briarfields Guest House offers superb, stylish and friendly 5 Star Gold rated accommodation on the English Riviera in Torquay. Within an easy walk of the town’s many attractions – including the beach, outer harbour, marina, Royal Gardens, Torre Abby, bars, restaurants and great public transport links – it offers a relaxing base for chilling out at the end of a busy day and looking forward to a gourmet breakfast.
The accommodation is modern and well designed, with eight en suite guest bedrooms all individually decorated and with drink making facilities, Freeview TV, blackout curtains and quality beds.
Unusually for Torquay, Briarfields is for adults only, and it has a free parking space for every room, a premium provision in this busiest of Devon resorts.
Owners Charlie and Julie-Anne Afrin bought the premises in March, and because of COVID restrictions have only been able to open since May 17, but already they have had glowingly complimentary guest reviews. One of the reasons is the fantastic location, so convenient for everything, but another is the upmarket breakfast menu.
Julie-Anne says: “My husband is a chef and is always trying different delicious things. He’s Scottish, so our full English includes Stornaway black pudding from the Outer Hebrides. He does breakfast wraps, buttermilk pancakes, French toast, corned beef hash and many other choices.”
