Even more delegates than expected were able to enjoy the hugely successful Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership Conference 2018 last week – as the event was streamed to virtual visitors via a unique service.
Over 400 businesses from across the country attended Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership’s Eighth Annual Conference hosted at The Chateau Impney – with more joining online via the special portal.
A total of 19 speakers shared their knowledge on the latest innovative developments led by the LEP, and how these projects are helping to boost productivity, tackle the skills shortage and strengthen connectivity. The Conference covered topics ranging from inward investment, to 5G, BetaDen and the LEP’s 2040 vision for the county.
The Conference also launched two new campaigns calling for the support of Worcestershire’s businesses. Firstly, the ‘Creating our Future Workforce’ campaign launched with the aim of supporting business to tackle the skills gap and shape the skills development of the county’s young generations. Secondly, the Conference revealed the new ‘Worcestershire’ brand that will showcase the county as the ideal place to live, work, visit and invest.
The live streaming firm – based in Ludlow, Shropshire – take the complexity out of streaming and allow event organisers to share their experience with a wider online audience. Streamer provide the opportunity for hosts to reach their targeted, global audience at the touch of a button. This is the third year that Streamer has delivered live streaming for the Worcestershire LEP Conference, providing the facility to share the conference live with those unable to be on site.
Live Streaming used to be complex with varying quality… but not any more. The Streamer system is user-friendly and enables any live event to be streamed to an online audience with incredible quality.
The Conference, which has grown its reputation as one of Worcestershire’s biggest business events, viewed Streamer as an added bonus when it came to its success.
Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire LEP, said:
“The Streamer service has added a significant amount of value to Worcestershire LEP’s Annual Conference events. We’ve seen a large demand for the service from businesses that are unable to attend our event, and we’re pleased that the service is able to provide a high quality and high definition alternative.”
Carl Walker, Managing Director of Streamer commented:
“We were delighted to once again be the chosen live streaming partner for the Worcestershire LEP, and with 4 cameras, we were able to provide a broadcast-style production to show off this prestigious business conference with ease. The ability for remote viewers to access the event via streaming was made even more relevant with the announcement at the conference of 5G trials in the region, so we see the future of Live Streaming becoming even more embedded in the process of business communications.”
