Worcester Guildhall looks to woo
couples for weddings
What better place to tie the knot than Worcester’s historic Guildhall?
The Guildhall (High Street Worcester, WR1 2EY) is hosting a special open day on Saturday 9 September from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
Members of the public can view all the rooms and facilities and have questions answered by friendly and experienced staff.
With its impressive décor dating back to 1721, The Guildhall is a perfect venue for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.
With six rooms available for hire – including the opulent Assembly Room, Court Room and Council Chamber – the Guildhall can accommodate events ranging from meetings for 12 people to private catered functions for up to 200 guests.
The City Council has a licence to conduct wedding ceremonies, civil partnership ceremonies and naming ceremonies at the Guildhall.
“As many couples who have already tied the knot there will testify, the Guildhall looks fabulous and contains some of the most beautiful rooms in the city,” says Cllr Paul Denham, Chair of the Income Generation Sub Committee at Worcester City Council.
“It is an ideal venue for all manner of celebrations, and has already hosted two functions in the 21st Century for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
