Trenance Farm Cottages an idyllic getaway for Self-Catering Adults and their dogs.
Once children go back to school, Trenance Farm Cottages provide an idyllic getaway zone for self-catering adults and their dogs on Cornwall’s stunning Lizard Peninsula.
Traditional stone farm buildings have been tastefully converted into 12 cosy, well equipped holiday homes in countryside adjoining the charming village of Mullion, which apart from being Poldark country has amenities including a chocolate factory, craft centre, horse riding centre, pubs, restaurants and a golf course.
The sun trap garden has an open air swimming pool in use to early September, along with games rooms for table football and table tennis. Perhaps best of all, the spot is only half a mile from the gorgeous beaches and coves of the Lizard Heritage Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with fascinating industrial history which also supports numerous rare plant species.
Trenance Farm Cottages are run by three generations of one family and have an emphasis on green living, making use of energy saving technology and encouraging guests to recycle and buy local. They have one, two or three bedrooms and all but one are dog friendly.
Tamara Tyler-Street, one of the owners, says: “We have a doggie field where pets can be let off the lead and that joins the South West Coast Path, half a mile away, at Mullion Cove, which is also dog friendly.”
