This wonderful Best Western hotel is a Grade 1 listed building in Abbots Salford, 10 miles from Stratford, and sits in the Vale of Evesham on the cusp of two of England’s prettiest counties, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

Like other Best Westerns it has nooks, crannies and character aplenty, full of exposed beams and olde worlde features, not to mention beautiful and extensive grounds. Within this atmospheric setting there are 36 individually designed and extremely comfortable guest bedrooms, all of them en suite and some pet friendly.

Eating at Salford Hall is always a joy, with food painstakingly prepared from scratch using fresh and locally sourced ingredients whether for a traditional full English breakfast, a light lunch, afternoon tea or a meal of many courses, perhaps a celebration dinner. The hotel bar offers convivial surroundings and the comfiest of leather furniture. Elsewhere there are function rooms of various sizes, catering for private parties and other bookings.

Best Western staff always make their guests feel welcome and relaxed, whether they just want to dine out and go home at the end of the evening or stay on to make the most of the exceptional location.

Many people take advantage of special value packages including luxury Christmas breaks. Group Operations Manager Ralph Stewart-Jansen says: “We sell tickets from Warwick Castle, Stratford Theatres and West Midlands Safari Park and we do a £99 romantic package with a bottle of bubbly waiting in your room and roses on the bed.

“Salford Hall is a great venue for people wanting to get away from the stresses of work and we can do anything, really, tailored to our customers’ needs.”

When staying at Salford Guests some guests enjoy:

  • Shakespeare’s Birthplace Museum and other properties associated with the bard in and around Stratford. And, of course, Stratford’s many other charms including boating on the River Avon, iconic theatre performances, horse racing and a lively abundance of shops, eateries and tourist activities.
  • Warwick Castle, one of Britain’s premier tourist attractions packed with things to bring history alive.
  • The Cotswolds, including pretty, historic towns rich in interest like Moreton in the Marsh, Stow on the Wold, Broadway, Bourton on the Water and Bibury, noted for its conservation architecture and trout farm.
