Our Editor Highly Recommends The Mount Pleasant Hotel | Great Malvern
Staying at Mount Pleasant Hotel in Great Malvern, my partner and I quickly learned why it has a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence this year. Everything about it was absolutely spot on, from the first welcome when we walked through the door to the sumptuous steak served up for dinner.
Mount Pleasant Hotel is beautiful Georgian building in the heart of Great Malvern, overlooking Priory Church and right next to the Worcestershire Way, leading into those famously beautiful Malvern Hills. It really is the perfect spot for exploring this famously beautiful area and the town itself, which is full of interesting shops and interesting features. The hotel is family run and the owners pride themselves on their high standards. We certainly didn’t find them wanting in any direction! Our room was really spacious and impeccably clean, with everything we needed in it including an en suite bathroom with bath and shower. Looking out from the window we had a really beautiful view over the Vale of Evesham with the Cotswolds in the distance. The bed was luxuriously comfy. We both enjoyed a sound sleep with sweet dreams!

Dinner was great. The food was of a very high standard and everything served in the restaurant looked really pretty on the plate, arranged with finesse. My rump steak was memorably delicious, served with perfect chips, flat cap mushroom, tasty vine tomatoes and rocket. The dining room had been recently refurbished and was a very pleasant environment in which to eat. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the waiting staff who looked after us very well.
Breakfast choices included not only a brilliant traditional full English but also salmon with scrambled eggs or a delightful continental buffet of cold meats, cheeses, croissants, fruit, yoghurt and cereal.
Mount Pleasant really is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in and we will 100% be going back! We’re pleased to recommend it to our readers.
