Ockeridge Rural Retreats Takes Glamping To Truly Glorious Levels
Ockeridge Rural Retreats takes glamping to truly glorious levels with luxurious hand-built shepherd huts offering comforts found normally only in a boutique city hotel room. Set in nine acres of verdant Worcestershire countryside, the accommodation allows couples and families to relax in carefree comfort far from the stress of urban living but within easy reach of Worcester, Malvern and fabulous attractions.
There are three quirky shepherds’ huts on this privately owned site, each of them unique. Features include indulgent baths, log burners, underfloor heating, wet rooms, king-sized beds and double glazing. Panoramic views take in not only unspoilt countryside but also the horses and ponies which live alongside.
Ockeridge Rural Retreats can cater for families with one or two children as well as couples. The uncrowded site gives peace and quiet. Flat screen TVs and comfy beds give a home from home experience while the charm of the accommodation lets you know you’re staying somewhere truly special.
Couples relish the treats of the boutique Ashwood Shepherd’s Hut, with its romantic roll top copper bath for two and spectacular views to the ruins of 17th century Witley Court Italianate mansion. It has hessian-covered walls, timber cladding, a log burner, wetroom shower, underfloor heating and many other quality touches.
Elliot Hall, who owns Ockeridge Rural Retreats with his wife, Tiffany, says: “No expense has been spared establishing our site and this is glamping at the highest reaches of the term, high quality and unique. There’s nothing else like this locally.
“It’s a very rural, unspoiled location, very peaceful yet only about six miles from Worcester with all the facilities of a vibrant, modern city. Lots of people like to go walking down our quiet lanes. Others visit attractions like the Morgan car factory and museum or Top Barn Farm Park.”
