Imagine if you could help other people just by enjoying your perfect getaway holiday in an idyllic countryside location close to the coast! Well you can, by booking superb self catering accommodation at Nutley Edge Cottages in an unspoilt and tranquil corner of East Sussex.
Nutley Edge overlooks the ancient Ashdown Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a holiday enterprise owned by the London-based charity Outward, which supports vulnerable adults to live independently in their own communities.
Outward works with people who have learning difficulties and those on the autistic spectrum. Every holiday booking at Nutley Edge helps to support that invaluable work in the capital.
The accommodation is set in 11 acres of rustic pastureland where the farmhouse and outbuildings have been modernised into 13 high quality holiday cottages. Individually the cottages are comfortably furnished, well equipped and suitable for families, couples or groups. With notice they can be rented together to accommodate up to 52 people for special gatherings and celebrations. A marquee space is available for wedding receptions and other events.
Two of the cottages are designed for wheelchair access and have ramps, wide doorways, low light switches, wet room showers, grab rails and flat access to the outside seating area and parking. All staff on site are used to accommodating people’s different needs.
The surrounding land has sheep paddocks, wildlife habitat, spruce woodland and a stream, making it the ideal place to relax and wind down, while the East Sussex locality offers numerous wonderful places to visit.
Nutley Edge is just north of the vibrant seaside town of Brighton, famous for the exotic Royal Pavilion, shingle beach, pier, nightlife and independent shopping area, The Lanes. Ashdown Forest was home to the famous fictional bear Winnie the Pooh, who is celebrated in Hartfield.
