These 5 Star luxury cottages are secluded high up on a working hill farm on a forest edge, with views of the impressive Aran, Berwyn and Cadair Idris mountain ranges, not to mention the farm’s own sheep, horses and hens. You only have to step outside the door to find the big country stretched out in all directions to delight your mountain goat and have you reaching for the skies.
The farm has been painstakingly renovated and its old outbuildings converted into two cottages meticulously finished, furnished and equipped for total contemporary comfort. They sleep two and six people, respectively, and can be booked together.
The accommodation holds the Visit Wales walker and cyclist friendly certification and the terrain suits those who like to push their limits.
“It’s quite amazing how many bikes you see arriving round here,” says owner Jane Donnelly. “It’s very peaceful, but people do come to do activities.
“We’re very centrally located here for exploring North Wales including local towns like Llangollen, Ruthin, Betws y Coed, Corwen and Bala. There are 600 castles in Wales, steam railways and fabulous festivals.
