Home From Home at Bagshaw Bed and Breakfast Bridlington
Holidaymakers find a welcoming home from home at Bagshaw Bed and Breakfast Bridlington, only a short walk from the beach, theatre, shops and other amenities in the character-packed harbour town of Bridlington.
Bagshaw owner Alex George and her partner, Brian, do everything they can to ensure everyone has a great time. The beds are double, well sprung and dressed in crisp linen. All rooms have towels, toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. Free parking is available. Breakfasts are packed with locally sourced taste and goodness. There may even be home baked cakes!
The location on the north side of town could hardly be better for enjoying Bridlington’s traditional seaside charms, including Alexandra Promenade, the quirky shops of the old town and convenient public transport links. It has everything from fish & chip shops to rockpools and is convenient for many other fabulous places including Scarborough, Filey and the birdwatchers’ paradise of Bempton Cliffs.
Alex, a hairdresser and ‘people person’, had an unusual introduction to Bagshaw’s. Staying nearby one night, she was shocked when her little dog, Ivy, inexplicably slipped her lead and ran straight into the building. The owner handed her back and, in the ensuing conversation, revealed the premises were for sale. A few months later Alex bought the property.
“It was fate,” she said, “I love it here.”
