The park, which has 4 star rating from Visit England, is in a secluded, tranquil spot in Wrotham Heath, near Sevenoaks. It has been created from an old quarry which gives it the advantages of natural shelter with an embankment of trees and shrubbery which attracts much wildlife.
Pitches are spacious, level and well drained and the site has amenities including a purpose built toilet block, hot showers, children’s play area, laundry and well stocked shop.
The proprietors of Gate House Wood Touring Park, Dave and Karen Macklin, are themselves long term caravan enthusiasts who have run touring parks before. Appreciation of their friendly service, expertise and amenities shows in the many glowing reviews online at www.ukcampsite.co.uk.
Karen says: “Gate House Wood is in a good location for visiting many local attractions like Ightham Mote, Great Comp Gardens, Tonbridge and Leeds castles an also family attractions like The Hop Farm, Kent Life, Brands Hatch motor racing circuit and Kent Showground, among many more.
“The seaside town of Whitstable, famous for oysters, is only 30 minutes away and 45 minutes away are the coastal town of Dymchurch and Camber Sands beach.”
