Editor’s Choice TripelB Belgian Beer Café Worcester
Belgian beer is famed worldwide for distinction and quality. TripelB is the all new Belgian beer café in Worcester where you can enjoy it in more than 100 finely crafted variations, complemented by authentic Belgian foods in a relaxed, amiable atmosphere. Opened in September, it promises to be a landmark city favourite for people who take their taste seriously.
TripelB is the brainchild of enthusiasts who spotted a cultural gap in the market and decided to plug it with the authentic Belgian experience they adore. The décor is rustic, comfortable and unpretentious, the music is high quality but unobtrusive and there are natural wines, quality spirits, teas, coffees and soft drinks to tempt non-beer drinkers.
The Belgian food offering ranges through charcuterie, cheeses, cakes and pastries, Croque Monsieur, waffles and ice cream, with more to come.
But at the heart of TripelB is Belgian beer. Craig Finn, one of three business partners, is a connoisseur, having visited Belgium numerous times since the 1980s and drunk a considerable range.
“The Belgian craft breweries have been around for a long time,” says Craig. “They are well established and produce superb quality beers which are really interesting, unusual and varied.
“We want to introduce these beers to the Worcestershire public – including the lesser known and rarer brands – and cater for those who have already acquired the palate.”
