Editor’s Choice The Larch Barn Cleobury Mortimer
Local products are at the heart of everything at The Larch Barn, a family run business selling a good variety of plants, home cooked food and artisan gifts based in Cleobury Mortimer. The café is a delightful place to socialise while enjoying some of the best views of the Clee Hills.
The Larch Barn was purpose built by local couple Paul and Jenny along with daughter Sophie and opened in May 2018 to complement the wholesale nursery they established in 1999.
The Plant Centre offers a range of trees, shrubs and plants at affordable prices, some of which are grown on site.
Alongside is the café, serving a range of hot and cold drinks, lunches, cream teas and cakes freshly baked by Jenny. On the weekly ‘Cake Wednesdays’, choose any slice of cake and a hot drink for only £3.50.
There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, so visitors can enjoy the warm weather or stay snug when it’s cold, and there is also a small gift shop selling hand made products from local artists and designers.
The Larch Barn Manager, Michelle Rushton says: “All our products are sourced as local as possible, such as milk from Mawley’s, sausages from Ludlow and gift sets from Hobsons Brewery. We strive to provide high quality, freshly cooked, locally sourced produce.”
