Granville Country Pub, Barford
Locals love the Granville Country Pub & Restaurant in Barford, just south of Warwick, because of the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, fantastic drinks selection and extensive menu of fresh, quality food. Now more visitors are finding it ideal for their private parties – Christmas included – and for dining out with friends or family.
The Granville has all the charms of a traditional pub building but with a modern makeover to cater for contemporary taste. It has a large, sun-soaked garden and a spacious bar, both dog friendly and offering free biscuits and water bowls in welcome.
The Granville’s comfortable restaurant offers an enticing menu of both English and exotic dishes with vegetarian, steaks and seafood dishes all chef cooked to order. There are hearty and lighter choices from steaks to salads, many with unusual twists like fish & chips with a real ale and honey batter. Sharing platters of boxed baked Camembert, charcuterie and seafood are particularly popular.
Richard and Emma, who run the Granville, say: “Everything is really fresh and locally sourced.”
The Granville’s function room is able to provide buffets for parties, corporate events and other occasions. Being only five minutes’ drive from Oakley Wood Crematorium it is perfect for those bittersweet wakes which so often reunite families to celebrate a valued life.
