Editor’s Choice Bell and Cross Clent Stourbridge
Eating out is always a treat at The Bell and Cross Clent, where modern British cuisine is stylishly served in a very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. From the outside it’s a traditional country pub befitting its central spot in the quaint and well kept village of Clent. Inside it’s also rapidly becoming known as a great place for dining as more people discover just how exciting the menus are for taste, quality and variety.
With a large garden as well as three dining areas and a bar, The Bell and Cross is well placed to form part of a lovely day out as it sits at the foot of the Clent Hills, a National Trust beauty spot, which attracts families, walkers and cyclists from all over the region. It also suits people getting together for business lunches, friendly get togethers, team gatherings, celebration dinners and any other occasion.
Chef/owner Joseph Tansley took over the grade II listed building about a year ago and has since specialised in preparing food which makes the most of the excellent local produce. He uses the best suppliers and places great emphasis on freshness. Both the à la carte and light bite menus include a wide range of seafood, game such as rabbit and venison when in season and always the finest meat dishes with delectable sauces and accompaniments.
