To coincide with the blockbuster exhibition ‘Celebrity’ on until 9 September, the Art Gallery & Museum have a packed programme of activities starting Tuesday 25 July with a chance to make tiaras and crowns fit for a film star. This is followed on Wednesday 2 August with swashbuckling creative fun when younger visitors can make pirate costumes and treasure chests. Activities take place weekly and details of each of them can be found on www.museumsworcestershire.org.uk or pick up a flier from the Art Gallery & Museum.
The Celebrity exhibition features costumes and props from some of the world’s most famous celebrities. Visitors have flocked to the exhibition to enjoy Marilyn Monroe’s little black dress, Michael Jackson’s Dangerous tour jacket and Becky Grainger’s wedding dress.
Visitors to Celebrity can also dress up as their favourite screen star, immortalise themselves at the #selfiespot and play their favourite tracks on the jukebox.
Art Gallery & Museum Manager Angie Bishop said: “It’s great to see so many people enjoying Celebrity. The family activities will be lots of fun; they are a great way to entertain children during the long holidays and at only £2 for materials are great value too. ”
Celebrity is on throughout the summer holidays. Entry is free and the Gallery is open Monday – Saturday 10.30am – 4.30pm. For more information contact the Art Gallery and Museum on 01905 25371, visit www.museumsworcestershire.org.uk or follow @worcestermuseum
