Alpacas are among the most charming creatures on earth and now thanks to the unique Worcestershire business Simply Alpaca they are offered to you for an unforgettable experience.
In Incan mythology, alpacas were given to humans by the earth goddess Pachamama on condition they were treated with care and respect. Honouring that requirement, owners Victoria and Roger Barrett care for a beautiful herd of alpacas an llama and enable wedding couples, craft enthusiasts, trekkers and many others to share the love with them.
Alpacas make wonderful wedding guests. Wearing bow ties for the occasion, these friendly characters make for great photo opportunities and the newly weds may even take them on walks around the local countryside.
Alpaca parties and experiences give people the chance to meet and handle the animals or perhaps lead them on treks to pastures new.
Couples can even stay close to the animals in delightfully secluded holiday accommodation with an en suite double bedroom, lounge and kitchen on the Simply Alpaca farm, about 10 miles from Worcester.
Delightful day workshops enable people to use fleeces in a range of natural colours to learn spinning, felting, weaving and dyeing, always ending with a finished product to take home.
“Alpacas started as a hobby and rapidly became something much bigger and more special,” says Victoria, a former paramedic. “They inspired me.”
