For those working on alcohol awareness campaigns or for agencies which need to partner with teetotal talent for a brand endorsement, it’s important to know which celebrities to reach out to. Here, Celebrity Intelligence rounds up six stars you might not realise have given up drinking.

Calvin Harris

While the DJ headlines some of Las Vegas’ biggest clubs, Calvin has chosen to stay away from drink. He says that, due to the nature of his job, he was constantly surrounded by alcohol and noticed he was drinking too much when it began affecting how well he performed on stage. Calvin has been teetoal since the age of 24.

Blake Lively

Contrary to her on-screen character in Gossip Girl, Blake refrains from drinking alcohol. In Vogue’s premiere episode of its cooking web series, Elettra’s Goodness, the actress revealed that she doesn’t like

the taste or the side effects of alcohol, but does use it in her cooking.

Gerard Butler

Gerard struggled with alcohol-related issues from a young age, even being arrested for disorderly conduct before his final year of law school. He eventually gave up drinking and has been sober for over 15 years, saying that he didn’t like the way alcohol made him behave.

Bradley Cooper

The Hangover actor has actually been sober since the age of 29. He credits his decision of giving up alcohol to saving his acting career, saying that drinking was ruining his life and affecting his work.

Jada Pinkett Smith

At the age of 33, Jada shocked herself by finishing two bottles of wine alone at home and vowed to stop drinking. The actress has since opened up about her mother’s struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, and credits recovery to dealing with surrounding issues, such as trauma, neglect, abuse and the loss of loved ones.

Daniel Radcliffe

After becoming a child star in the Harry Potter franchise, Daniel turned to the bottle to help him cope with the sudden fame. While filming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at the age of 18, Daniel found that he was so reliant on alcohol that he no longer enjoyed drinking it. He has been teetotal since August 2010.
